I did not have a good tool to teach the ins and outs of a paycheck when I taught Introduction to Business said Charles J Read, President of Custom Payroll Associates, Inc. the parent of PayrollonaBudget.com.
I taught as a volunteer at Lake Dallas High School teaching Introduction to Business for four years.
I was always looking for better tools.
The banks do a great job with kits for checking accounts but I couldnt find a comparable tool for paychecks.
So I created one.
Lorinda Holland and Monica Blaylock along with other educators helped create the site specifically for students to use.The tutorial takes a student through all of the steps of income, deductions and taxes that go into a paycheck.
The tutorial lets the student do numerous what ifs, change the rate, hours and deductions or go from desired netpay back to number of hours required to be worked to achieve that netpay. This is PayrollonaBudget.coms first free educational program and they are looking to do other business-related pages for educators.
I do it for the same reason I taught, to give back a little of what I have received. Says Mr. Read. Though I expect my high school teachers would be amazed that I am on the other side of the desk. The site is free to anyone who wants to use it. According to Mr.
Read, Every high school business teacher should feel free to place a link on their web site for their students to access the tutorial.
Mr. Read is also inviting suggestions for additional tutorials or enhancements to this one.The tutorial is available at http://www.PayrollonaBudget.com website's home page..
Safety Incentive Programs
Almost every organization is faced with the necessity of laying off employees for lack of work. Some layoffs are temporary and are expected by employees because of the nature of the job. These layoff can be planned for and may not be serious. In contrast, a change in operations or decline in business necessitates permanent layoffs. All of these involve employee separation from the organization.
Separation may also arise from employee resignations and retirement.
Layoff can be defined as an indefinite separation from the payroll due to factors beyond the control of the individual. The causes of layoff include decline in sales, shortage of raw materials, market fluctuations, delays in production and displacement caused by technology. Layoff is a temporary separation when it is initiated by an employer. But some times, it turns out to be permanent when production never picks up. Layoff is considered to be a serious issue because of the involvement of human sentiments...
Romar CEO Takes Back Control of Highly Creative Design and Production Business
President and Chief Executive Officer of The Romar Group, Inc., a 100 million dollar Los Angeles based company, said today, "It is necessary to take back day to day control of Romar in an effort to build a more productive and efficient business."
Don Polk, majority shareholder, who worked very hard for over 26 years to parley his experience to build a company whereby shareholders, investors and associates could be proud to be associated, was stunned and appalled to learn about the awful dishonesty, contempt and mischaracterization of Romar's current management team, executive committee and Don Polk.
Polk, who sits on Boards of three of the most powerful civil rights and political organizations in the world, has been an advocate and champion for fair treatment of employees and communities both domestically and abroad.
Mr. Polk said, "It is my philosophy and Romar's policy that we must inspire and instill hope and positive empowerment not inferiority and despair."Romar's...

General Contractor Liability Insurance
Normally, it is difficult for general contractors to work without general insurance.
General contractor liability insurance is intended to guard operators and owners of companies from claims that may come from a broad spectrum of sources. These exposures could be just about anything, including liability engendered by accidents from the operations of the insured party, contractual liability, products manufactured by the insured party, etc.
The liability you select, whether it is one, two, or three million dollars, determines the cost of general contractor liability insurance. Also factored into the rates the rates are the kind of work undertaken, gross receipts and total payroll expenses.
Similar to auto insurance, when it comes to general contractor liability insurance, you will first have to make a down payment and then follow it up with installments.
Before buying general contractor liability insurance, it is best to compare the quotes available...
